Nutracon Conference 2010

Healthy Aging

Biocell  Capsugel

Aging is big money, and big opportunity as the boomer generation goes kicking and screaming into the next chapter of their lives. Within the year, the active (and inactive) aging population will account for at least 30% of the world's inhabitants. Taking population growth into consideration, a health products company can only ignore this opportunity at their own peril.

All that kicking means boomers will only continue to help the joint health category grow beyond its $1.3 current value. And all that screaming means the digestive health market, particularly probiotics, will easily exceed $820 billion not to mention cognitive support in excess of $300 million and products for cognitive and heart health (CoEnzyme Q10 and omega-3's) adding another billion to the mix. The aging products marketplace represents a huge opportunity, even in current demographic terms.

The aging track at Nutracon promises to deliver a mega-dose of measurable science and case studies of the companies and products that have been successful reaching this often neglected demographic. Within this track will be focused intensive sessions that will dive deeper into probiotics for digestive health and immunity, and the complexities of cognitive health. If you're looking to learn more about targeted ingredients and reaching this high potential market you won't want to miss this track.
